We provide all ingredients, equipment, and tools you'll need. Feel free to bring your own apron if you'd like, though we do have some available.

While we do not require hairnets, we recommend bringing something to tie your hair up or a hat to keep your hair back. Please wear closed-toed shoes to reduce the risk of injury from spills or falling objects.

Bring your own storage containers, or purchase reusable glass containers or compostable containers on-site.

Do I need to bring anything to the class?

Not at all! Our classes are designed for all skill levels. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned cook, you'll leave with valuable skills and delicious meals.

Do I need to be an experienced cook to join the classes?

We focus on fresh, seasonal, and plant-based ingredients. You’ll learn how to create nourishing meals with simple, whole foods—no fancy, hard-to-find items or processes here.

What kind of ingredients are used in the classes?

We do use a good amount of soy and nuts in our classes as protein sources, so we cannot guarantee no cross-contamination for those with severe allergies. Our plant-based classes are generally modifiable for those on a gluten-free diet, but we will need advance notice. Given that we are a plant-based kitchen, we naturally do not use any dairy or animal products.

Please let us know in advance if you have specific dietary restrictions, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Are the classes suitable for people with dietary restrictions?

You’ll take home the meals you prepare, so you can enjoy them later. Plus, you’ll leave with recipes and tips to recreate your dishes at home.

Bring your own storage containers, or you can purchase reusable glass containers or disposable compostable containers on-site if you forget.

What will I take home after the class?

Our classes are currently designed for adults aged 18 and up. We are hoping to add kid and teen-focused cooking classes in the future.

Do you have age restrictions?

Yes! We offer private classes for groups and corporate retreats. Reach out to us for more details and to schedule a session tailored to your needs at: info@theplantskitchen.com

Can I book a private class or group event?

All classes close 12 hours prior to start time. Class cancellations must be at least 24 hours prior to class start time. This is to allow for shopping and prep time and to avoid food waste.

If you miss the 24 hour cutoff for cancellation, you will forfeit that class credit and no refund will be available. Please be sure to add your class reservation to your calendar and doublecheck that The Plants Kitchen emails are not going to your junk mailbox, as we send out reminder emails prior to the class cancellation cutoff period.

Is there a cutoff timeframe for class signups and cancellations?
