Tired of bland takeout or feeling like healthy eating is another time-sucking chore? We get it. That's why our hands-on classes and workshops make it easy—and fun—to create meals you actually want to eat.
With our meal-prepping techniques and batch-cooking hacks, you'll feel like a pro in the kitchen—
My journey to founding The Plants Kitchen started, ironically, with toaster strudels and Lunchables. Growing up in the '80s and '90s, convenience food was the norm, but even as a teenager, I noticed how my body felt after certain meals. That curiosity eventually became a passion, and during college, I took a life-changing course in London where I was introduced to the concept of food as medicine. That was the moment everything clicked—what we eat isn’t just fuel; it’s the foundation of our health.
That spark led me to medical school and a career in internal and emergency medicine. But as the years passed, I grew increasingly frustrated with a system that prioritizes reactivity over prevention. Day after day, I treated patients with chronic illnesses—many of them preventable—armed only with band-aid solutions. I couldn’t keep practicing medicine this way. I had to take everything I’d learned and find a better way to help people.
That’s why I became board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine and founded The Plants Kitchen. Lifestyle is the root and base of everything—if you want to feel well and stay well for as long as possible, you have to start there. The molecules in the food you eat become the building blocks of your cells. I like to remind my patients: “You should aim for a long healthspan, not just lifespan.”
The Plants Kitchen is my answer to a system that often feels stacked against us. Here, we make nourishing, plant-based eating as convenient as possible. We celebrate the transformative power of food, the importance of lifestyle, and the joy that comes from truly vibrant health. It’s not just about adding years to your life—it’s about adding life to your years.
